Is this strange behavior for a dentist?

Ehh i don't know. He could just be really outgoing and overly friendly to all of his patients and that might just be how his personality is. I understand why you would be creeped out though....If i were you i would ask some of his other patients if he treats them the same way. If he does, i think you're fine. If not, i would change your dentist! :p
